Ways to Contribute
As a non-profit organization, the YWCA depends on gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations to touch the lives of thousands of individuals each year. All gifts to the YWCA of Greater Lawrence are tax deductible. Outlined below are some ways that you can contribute and help us help women, children and families in our community.

Donate Online
We have chosen to partner with Network for Good for our on-line donation service. Network for good does not charge us any processing fees, and 100% of your contribution is directed to the YWCA of Greater Lawrence and invested in our programs.

Make a donation now, and your contribution will be quickly invested in the lives of the women, children and families we serve.

Donate by Phone
You can make a credit card contribution or a pledge by phone by calling the development director at 978-687-0331 extension 1029.

Donate by Mail
To donate by mail, please send a check or money order made out to: YWCA of Greater Lawrence. Please include your name and address so that we may send you a receipt and acknowledgement letter for tax purposes.

Donate Stock
Gifts of securities which have gone up in value since their purchase can provide additional benefits:

• You receive a charitable income tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the securities if they have been held longer than one year
• You avoid capital gains tax.

How to Transfer Stock
Please call us at 978-687-0331 x1029 and let us know you are making a gift of stock. This is important to insure proper receipt and acknowledgement of your gift. Then, you can select an electronic or physical transfer.

Physical Transfer
You can forward your stock certificate(s) directly to the YWCA of Greater Lawrence. Each stock certificate requires a stock power form. The stock powers should be signed and the signature guaranteed by your local bank or broker.

Mail the stock powers, along with a letter indicating your intent to make a gift, to the address below. Under separate cover, send the stock certificate(s) to the same address. We recommend that you send the certificate(s) via registered mail or deliver them in person to:

Gifts in Memory or in Honor of a Loved One
There are many times when you want to say something special to a family member, friend or associate. A gift to the YWCA of Greater Lawrence in honor or memory of a special person will help us empower women and girls while giving you a unique opportunity to commemorate a birthday, anniversary, wedding, holiday, retirement, graduation, or the loss of a loved one. Your thoughtfulness will be acknowledged immediately to the person or family your are choose to honor.

If you would like to make a gift, please contact us at 978-687-0331 x1029 or mail us a correspondence telling us who you would like to honor. Please include their name and address (if you are honoring a living person) or the name and address of their family (if a memorial gift) so that we may send notice of your gift. You can also donate on-line donate on-line through Network for Good.

Workplace Giving
Many workplaces today offer the opportunity to make a donation to the YWCA of Greater Lawrence through a simple payroll deduction. If your workplace is involved in the United Way or Combined Federal Campaigns, you can specify the YWCA of Greater Lawrence as the recipient of your support.
