Are
you an artist? Talented with computers? A good listener?
A student who needs community service hours? Would you
like to share your love of reading?
Your time and talent is greatly appreciated
at the YWCA. There are many opportunities you can participate
in to help improve the lives of women and young children.
These are just a few volunteer projects
that could use your help:
- Tutors or computer coaches in the YWCA
Youth Technology Programs to work individually with
Lawrence schoolchildren (3-5pm on any weekday; great
for High School students)
- Babysitting while mothers participate
in group activities at YWCA transitional housing programs
- Male mentors for boys in the OASIS
residence
- Painting and ‘spruce up’
projects at various locations (great for corporate
or service groups)
- Administrative assistance for fundraising
and community education programs
- Event volunteers – wine tasting,
luncheons, raffles, yard sales
- Fundraising volunteers – events,
cell phone drive, yard sales, raffle sales
