to Women Awards

Each May, the YWCA of Greater Lawrence sponsors an awards luncheon, Tribute to Women, to honor a select group of women living or working in the Merrimack Valley who have made exemplary contributions to business and community. Additionally, the awards luncheon serves as an important fundraiser for the YW with proceeds going to support the over 21 program offered in our Women’s and Youth Service divisions.
We invite you to make an investment in the success of the YW by attending, sponsoring or making a nomination for Tribute to Women. This year we are celebrating 27 years of this wonderful event which will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the Andover Country Club in Andover, MA from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, with Honoree/Nominator-only reception from 11:30am to 12:00pm.
We are again delighted having Senator Susan Tucker as Emcee for the event, with special Keynote Speaker Dr. Yvonne Spicer, VP for Technological Literacy at the Museum of Science. A dynamic advocate for students pursuing STEM [Science, Technology, Engineering & Math], Dr. Spicer is a world-renown speaker well known for her passion to ensure that under-represented groups are pursuing STEM areas and opportunities.
Nominations
Do you know or work with a woman who has made contributions to both business and community, and who either lives or works in the Merrimack Valley? If so, you might consider nominating her to be honored for her accomplishments at our Tribute to Women awards luncheon. You can then gather colleagues, friends and family to come to the event to support your nominee!

Deadline for nominations is on or before Monday, April 5, 2010. Incomplete nominations or late entries will not be considered if received after Monday, April 5th. |
