The YWCA Women’s Health Advocacy Program is a comprehensive, grass-roots network of programs and resources designed to help medically underserved women secure the healthcare and information they need to transform their lives, improve their health and prevent or detect disease in its earliest stages. The program offers a variety of services including:

  • Breast & Cervical Cancer Education and Outreach
  • Referral to Free Screenings such as mammograms, Pap tests and others
  • Cardiovascular Disease & Diabetes Prevention Education
  • Translation support
  • Transportation assistance
  • Support at Screenings and Follow Up Care
  • Health and Fitness Sessions
  • Peer Education and Support
  • Training and Education for Peer Educators, Professionals, Outreach workers
  • Public Education
